Andalusia, Spain
Between the Atlantic in the west and the Mediterranean in the east, are some of the prettiest hidden towns of Spain. We take you on a trip back in time, through some of the “pueblos blancos”, also known as white villages.
These white villages, with whitewashed walls, red tiled roofs, cobblestone streets and ornate churches atop cliffs are rich in history. They date back to the Romans and Moors, offer spectacular flora & fauna in their surroundings. Our trail will use the traditional means of transport, the horse. Indulging in Southern Spain’s culture along the way and its gastronomy.
In 1865 Henry O’Shea said that the road from Gibraltar to Ronda “… was one of the most beautiful and romantic horseback rides that could be undertaken in our country”. Well, emulating those travellers, we set off to embark a trail, like no other exploring untouched landscape on an experienced packed adventure.
We discover the history, culture and landscape of the area, its villages, its people and vibrant lifestyle but yet embrace its remoteness, valleys and mountains.
Departing from the Valley of Polo, we leave behind the green polo fields, and set off with our polo ponies and Spanish horses, to discover our oriental heritage, and impression of being in a region where time seemed to stand still.
Expect lunches under shady cork trees, local wines, cheeses made at the local villages – and fresh seasonal fruit for breakfast, home baked bread from the region and local dishes. The song and stories of the farmers and villagers and flamenco evenings as the sun sets behind the mountain range.

Two Continents Ride
The final part of the trip offers an optional add on, after completion of the trek – we cross the channel connecting the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean, lying between southernmost Spain and northwesternmost Africa with only 13 kilometres by sea.
Three days are spent exploring Morocco, and visiting iconic destinations, such as Tangiers, Asia and Chef Chauen (not on horseback)
